I enjoyed a nice conversation with JAWS Production Executive Bill Gilmore about the realities of filming on the ocean.

JAWS Production Artist Joe Alves was as big a part of the success of JAWS as anyone. He scouted the east coast for filming locations settling on Martha's Vineyard. He also discovered the fishing vessel The Warlock and reconfigured it into Quint's Orca. His JAWS storyboard sketches and production drawings are sweet, candy visuals for us JAWS nuts.

"Ho-E-Yo-Ho-Ho and a bottle of rum"

Tired of trespassers and scavengers, a grumpy Lynn Murphy takes a chain saw to the remains of ORCA 2 two days before the festival begins, ending the shelf life of the last great, screen-used, large JAWS prop.
